Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using RangeWatch ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Description of Service

RangeWatch is a price intelligence and tracking service that:

  • Aggregates and displays pricing information from third-party retailers for firearms, ammunition, optics, parts, and gear
  • Tracks historical price data to provide market context and insights
  • Offers price and stock alert notifications for registered users
  • Provides search and comparison tools across multiple retailers

RangeWatch does not sell firearms, ammunition, optics, gear, or any other products. All purchases are made directly through third-party retailers. We are not a party to any transaction between you and any retailer.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using RangeWatch, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You also represent that your use of this Service does not violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Price Data and Information

While we strive to provide accurate pricing information:

  • All prices displayed are sourced from third-party retailers and may not be current
  • Prices, availability, and product information can change at any time
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information
  • Historical price data is for informational purposes only
  • You should always verify pricing directly with the retailer before purchasing

Price alerts and notifications are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed to be delivered or accurate. We are not responsible for missed alerts or incorrect pricing information.

Third-Party Links and Retailers

The Service contains links to third-party websites and retailers. These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party websites or their content, products, or services. Your interactions with third-party retailers, including purchases, are solely between you and the retailer. We are not responsible for any issues arising from your transactions with third parties.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users or third parties), features, and functionality are owned by RangeWatch and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.

Prohibited Data Collection and Scraping

All data displayed on RangeWatch, including but not limited to pricing data, historical price information, product listings, and aggregated market intelligence, is proprietary to RangeWatch. You are expressly prohibited from:

  • Using any automated tool, bot, spider, crawler, scraper, or similar technology to access, collect, harvest, or extract any data from the Service
  • Accessing our API or data feeds without explicit written authorization
  • Systematically downloading, copying, or storing our pricing or product data
  • Using data collected from RangeWatch for commercial purposes, including resale, aggregation into other services, or creation of competing products
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any rate limiting, security measures, or access controls we implement
  • Creating derivative databases or datasets from our data
  • Training artificial intelligence or machine learning models using our data

Unauthorized data collection may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, and pursuit of damages. We actively monitor for scraping activity and reserve the right to block any IP addresses or users suspected of unauthorized data collection.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE OR SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANGEWATCH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RangeWatch and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the United States.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
